Mauricio J. Sanchez, M.D.

Mauricio Jorge Sanchez finished medical school at 25 years of age. Dr. Sanchez graduated in 1986 from San Marcos University-San Fernando Medical School of Lima, Peru. During his education in Peru, he completed a rotating internship at the Rebagliati Hospital from Lima -San Marcos University. After becoming a member of the Colegio Medico Peruano, he worked in the rural area of Peru as a chief of a rural medical center. From 1987 to 1990, Dr. Sanchez completed a residency in general surgery in Lima, Peru, that included a training in digestive surgery at the Hospital das Clinicas in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Dr. Sanchez emigrated to the USA in 1992 and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Lincoln Medical Center - New York Medical College in 1995. Dr. Sanchez is also a full time emergency medicine physician at different hospitals in New York and New Jersey.

Dr. Sanchez is a certified and recertified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, fellow member of the American Academy of Cardiology, the American Bariatrics Society, and the New Jersey Medical Society.

Besides certifications in E.C.F.M.G., A.B.I.M., A.T.L.S., A.C.L.S., B.L.S., and P.A.L.S., Dr. Sanchez keeps a continous current medical education and his practice experience includes: general surgery, emergency medicine, weight control, medical aesthetics, and internal medicine.
